ボッチャにチャレンジするCOMねこ登場！

人気のCOMねこが、今回は“ボッチャ”に挑戦！
「どんどんチャレンジ！」を合言葉に、ボッチャの楽しさをアクリルキーホルダーに詰め込みました。

レク・ボッチャって？

ボッチャといえば、旭川で毎年開催される「北海道レク・ボッチャ選手権大会」が有名。
2025年には記念すべき第10回大会を迎え、ますます盛り上がりを見せています！

ところで「レク」って何？と思った方も多いはず。
“レク”とは「レクリエーション」の略で、誰でも気軽に楽しめる要素を取り入れたボッチャのスタイルです。

本来のボッチャは、ルールがしっかり決まった競技性の高いスポーツ。
そのため初心者や小さなお子さまには、ちょっぴりハードルが高く感じられることもあります。

でもご安心を！
レク・ボッチャなら、ルールに縛られすぎず、誰でも自由に楽しくプレイできるんです。

地域に広がるレク・ボッチャの輪

旭川市をはじめ、名寄市・士別市・上川町など、北海道内各地にレク・ボッチャの大会が広がっています。
さらに、老人福祉施設や障がい者支援施設などでも普及し、日常的な楽しみとして定着しつつあります。

ボッチャは誰でも楽しめるユニバーサルスポーツ！

ボッチャは、白いジャックボールを目印に、赤や青のボールをどれだけ近づけられるかを競うスポーツ。
老若男女、障がいの有無を問わず楽しめる「ユニバーサルスポーツ」です。

でも最近、健常者だけで楽しむ傾向が強まってきているという声も…。
COM泉屋は考えます。
「スポーツは誰もが楽しめるものであってほしい」
そんな願いを込めて、このキーホルダーを作りました。

What is Rec-Boccia, Born in Hokkaido?

Boccia is gaining popularity in Hokkaido, especially with the annual Hokkaido Rec-Boccia Championship held in Asahikawa. The event celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025!

“Rec” stands for “Recreation”—Rec-Boccia is a more casual and inclusive version of the sport, perfect for beginners and people of all ages.

Boccia Is a True Competitive Sport

Official Boccia requires knowledge of strict rules, which can be a bit intimidating for first-time players or younger participants.

But with Rec-Boccia, anyone can jump in and enjoy the game at their own pace—no pressure, just fun!

Spreading Across Hokkaido Communities

Rec-Boccia is now thriving in Asahikawa and beyond—in towns like Nayoro, Shibetsu, and Kamikawa. It’s also being introduced in care facilities and support centers for people with disabilities, becoming part of daily life for many.

Boccia: A Truly Universal Sport

Boccia is played by tossing red or blue balls toward a white target ball (called the jack ball), aiming to get as close as possible. It’s a universal sport that everyone can enjoy, regardless of age or ability.

However, there’s been a growing concern that Boccia is becoming exclusive to able-bodied participants. At COM Izumiya, we believe that sports should be inclusive and welcoming to all.

“Sports should be something everyone can enjoy.”

This keychain was made with that belief at its heart.
